About Us

Norgate Investor Services started out as a consulting firm to the futures industry in 1992. We had futures brokers, managed futures funds and large private traders as our clients. As part of this role, we were asked to provide a daily futures update service to a client who was dissatisfied with the services that were currently available in the market-place. The client also wanted various tools to manipulate the data. The resulting software was the forerunner of our "DataTools" product, which was released commercially in 1999.

It was a natural step to progress to stock-market data. In 2001, we contracted with the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) to re-publish its data. Since then, we have added the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and U.S. Exchanges to the service. Our stock market data is available through a specialised service called "Premium Data".

Norgate's main focus today is on providing end-of-day securities data to retail-level clients, either directly or through resellers and agents. Because that's pretty well all we do, we have the time to try and do it properly.
