The Data

The Data Tools database is held in Y2K compliant MetaStock™/Computrac format. Nearly all well-known charting and analysis software packages will read this format including:

Market Coverage

From the many futures markets that trade around the world, DataTools concentrates on those that are liquid enough to interest a private trader. These total 86 at present, from 14 exchanges, but new ones are added whenever necessary.

In addition to futures markets, the service updates 17 key cash/spot prices, including international stock indices and base metals.

Price-checking

All futures data is subject to errors. To deal with potential errors, Norgate employs a computerised checking mechanism that searches for unusual prices or discrepancies between the open, high, low and close. In addition, the data is compared against a number of alternative sources in order to highlight possible differences.

We can't promise perfection, but if we discover any errors the appropriate corrections are sent along in a later update to automatically correct your database.

Premium Data

Premium Data takes the worry out of data. For the price of an annual subscription fee, you can let us take care of everything and ensure that when you look at a chart, it’s the same chart that the professionals are looking at. This leaves you all the time to concentrate on your trading.
